Job Overview

The Assistant Sales Manager at Reno Harley-Davidson will support the Sales Manager in driving sales growth and profitability by motivating and managing the sales team. This role requires a passion for the Harley-Davidson brand, excellent leadership skills, and experience in sales management.

Responsibilities
  1. Sales Leadership & Management:
  • Assist in daily operations of the sales department to ensure goals are met.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets.
  • Act as a role model with high salesmanship and customer-centric approach.
Customer Experience:
  • Ensure all customers receive an exceptional Harley-Davidson experience promoting the dealership as the best place to buy motorcycles.
  • Oversee follow-up procedures to maintain high customer engagement and satisfaction.
Sales Process Optimization:
  • Implement and uphold dealership sales processes ensuring team adherence.
  • Support refining sales scripts, word tracks, and negotiation tactics to maximize closing rates.
Inventory & Promotions:
  • Monitor inventory levels collaborating with the inventory manager to ensure adequate stock.
  • Assist in planning and executing sales promotions contributing creative ideas.
Sales Reporting & Analysis:
  • Compile daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports tracking team performance and trends.
  • Assist in setting sales goals based on data analysis and industry benchmarks.
Team Development & Training:
  • Conduct training sessions enhancing team product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Foster a team-oriented environment encouraging collaboration and open communication.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience.Requirements:
  • At least 3-5 years in a sales leadership role within the automotive or motorcycle industry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Harley-Davidson motorcycles is highly preferred.
