Compensation

The salary range for this position is as follows:

  • $142,050 - $182,388 Annual (TSS.3)
  • $170,430 - $218,868 Annual (TSS.4)

Please note that these figures are general guidelines and actual compensation may vary based on various factors including experience and education.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Construction Manager who will oversee technical and administrative aspects of the Mission-Driven Craft Labor Contract (MDCL) and manage subcontracted construction projects. This role involves planning, coordinating, and communicating construction activities across the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance during the planning and execution of construction activities in sensitive environments, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor project timelines, identify potential challenges, and facilitate resolutions to minimize risks.
  • Deliver solutions to complex technical challenges related to construction specifications and documentation.
  • Evaluate project issues and develop strategies to achieve productivity and quality objectives.
  • Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety protocols and project schedules.
  • Conduct daily oversight of construction activities to ensure effective coordination with operational teams.
  • Facilitate the commissioning process and oversee testing activities, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
  • Communicate project updates and challenges to stakeholders, including team members and management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a DOE Q-level security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in nuclear operations and safety compliance.
  • Strong understanding of construction management principles and methods.
  • Experience managing construction projects and budgets effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in construction project management software.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with DOE facilities and familiarity with relevant regulations.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes and project management methodologies.
  • Experience with MS Project and related tools.
