Phlebotomist II Float Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist II Float to join our team at Quest Diagnostics in Salem, OR. As a Phlebotomist II Float, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients and preparing them for lab testing. This is a dynamic role that offers a variety of work experiences, and you will have the opportunity to work in different patient centers and meet new people every day.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood samples from patients and prepare them for lab testing
  • Enter billing information and collect payment when required
  • Coach, mentor, and instruct new employees
  • Travel to additional patient centers or doctor's offices when needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred
  • Three years of phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
