About the Role

The Private Wealth Management team at UMB Financial Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Business Operations Associate II to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our clients and supporting the growth of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute operational procedures in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring seamless delivery of services to clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex operational issues and escalations, driving continuous improvement of processes.
  • Develop and maintain internal relationships to drive process improvements and enhance client experiences.
  • Utilize Private Wealth technologies to process transactions and deliver on responsibilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), providing insights to inform business decisions.
  • Work collaboratively with Senior Associates to resolve complex operational issues and escalations, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to clients.
  • Ensure internal clients have a positive service experience that exceeds their expectations, fostering a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement of processes and enhance client experiences.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements, applying knowledge to inform business decisions and drive process improvements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of applicable experience within Financial Services, with a focus on operations and client service.
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems, think critically, and make sound decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex operational issues.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on delivering exceptional client service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience working with financial software and systems.
  • Knowledge of financial services operational best practices and a knack for generating 'wow' moments for clients.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated client service experience within a wealth management institution.
  • Knowledge of Personal Trust, Custody, and Investment management service offerings and account types.
  • Working knowledge of complex account types and financial planning software.
  • Experience with eMoney client portal and financial planning software.
  • Proficiency in Workday, Peoplesoft, Archer, Skillport, and Hyperion.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM software.
