Job Summary

As a Senior Field Operations Manager at Spectrum, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of field activities, including installation, service, and line activities. You will ensure that all employees and projects in these areas are handled expediently and within Charter specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the management of daily operations, including installation, service, and line activities.
  • Contribute to the company's strategies for assigned areas through the preparation of business fulfillment plans, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Provide direction to field management for overall fulfillment of operations, including technical, construction, system maintenance, safety, Field Ops engineering, TQA, and cost controls.
  • Develop appropriate work productivity, quality, and overtime standards for all field technicians.
  • Direct the implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Enforce government regulations with regard to cable operations and employment laws.
  • Manage complex projects to ensure timelines and flawless execution.
  • Review and analyze Field Ops metrics, evaluate variances with Managers, and establish appropriate action plans for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain an effective organization through selection, training, and development, compensation, and motivation of staff in assigned systems.

  • Knowledge of cable television products and services.
  • Ability to delegate responsibilities for functional tasks.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local franchise and cable regulations.
  • Knowledge of government process at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of OSHA rules and regulations, both federal and state.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HFC and IP network operations.
Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent. Cable industry experience of 10 years, with 10 years of senior-level management experience in multiple locations, preferably in a cable MSO. Management of annual budget preparation and implementation for 8 years.

Working Conditions

Office environment. Exposure to moderate noise levels. Travel as required.
