THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY

The Senior DevOps Engineer position at Fannie Mae offers an opportunity to take ownership of critical projects while collaborating with a dedicated team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing robust data frameworks and pipelines to capture, integrate, and organize data, ensuring it is accessible and reliable through rigorous testing and quality assurance.
  • Implementing monitoring systems and processes to mitigate risks through detailed analysis.
  • Assessing the needs of diverse customer groups, applying a deep understanding of strategic issues relevant to the organization.
  • Evaluating existing software applications to identify and recommend security enhancements.
  • Installing and configuring new security tools as part of the organization's infrastructure.
  • Designing SQL and NoSQL data security architectures that comply with industry standards.
  • Exploring innovative techniques to safeguard data across hybrid environments.
  • Utilizing DevSecOps principles in the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of software solutions.
  • Working independently on significant, time-sensitive projects with minimal supervision.
  • Addressing complex challenges that arise during project execution.
  • Employing hands-on coding or scripting to create tailored workflows that resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and prioritizing vulnerabilities within organizational systems and networks.
  • Leveraging data analytics to inform cyber risk reduction strategies.
  • Utilizing various tools for vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.
  • Managing vulnerability remediation processes and ensuring accountability.
  • Automating the analysis of scanning results and related data.
  • Tracking and reporting on the status of vulnerability remediation efforts.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address vulnerabilities.
  • Supporting compliance and auditing processes to ensure adherence to relevant standards.
  • Designing and managing scalable, highly available systems on cloud platforms.
  • Automating infrastructure provisioning and application deployments using Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • Conducting performance tuning, capacity planning, and cost optimization for cloud resources.
  • Implementing monitoring and alerting solutions to maintain application and infrastructure health.
  • Exhibiting strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Managing multiple tasks effectively while working independently.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Required Experience:

  • 2 years in a relevant field.

Preferred Experience:

  • 4 years in DevOps roles.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
