Medical Scribe Job Description

A Medical Scribe plays a crucial role in supporting physicians by handling administrative tasks, allowing them to focus on patient care. Responsibilities include documenting patient history, updating Electronic Medical Records, coordinating diagnostic tests, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role provides valuable experience for individuals interested in healthcare careers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist physician with patient care and procedures
  • Facilitate diagnostic tests and specialist referrals
  • Provide compassionate patient care
  • Communicate with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Support training of new scribes
Qualifications:
  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient computer skills (minimum 45 wpm)
  • Flexible availability, including weekends
  • Passion for helping others in a healthcare setting
  • Detail-oriented team player
  • Previous service industry experience preferred
  • Bilingual skills a plus
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift moderate weight, maintain a fast pace, and use computers extensively.
