Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our team at AAA Club Alliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Accounts Payable function, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coach Staff: Provide guidance and support to Accounts Payable staff to enhance their performance, development, and work product.
  • Process Improvement: Benchmark and assess the efficiency and effectiveness of current processes to streamline workflow, and develop, implement, and communicate process improvements and enhancements to internal controls.
  • Disbursement and Payment Processing: Perform disbursement runs to ensure payment method is most cost-efficient, analyze and verify outstanding invoices to ensure proper payment, and ensure compliance with internal, external stakeholders, and regulatory entities.
  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records and control reports, and ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and expense reports.
  • Policies and Procedures: Create and enforce policies for corporate adherence to expense reimbursement, corporate card compliance, and invoice payment processing.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure key performance metrics are gathered, reported, and escalated timely in a customer-focused manner that supports a highly successful control environment.
  • Team Leadership: Delegate tasks across the A/P team, ensure clear communication of expectations, and recognize and adjust based on over or under-achievement.
  • Enterprise 1099 Filings: Lead enterprise 1099 filings utilizing multiple platforms for various legal entities.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree in Finance or Accounting; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in an automated financial environment.
  • Skills: Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; working knowledge of fundamentals of accounting; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Workday preferred, or other ERP a plus.
