Job Responsibilities:

As an Automotive Customer Service Specialist, you will serve as the primary liaison for our valued clients, ensuring an exceptional service experience throughout their automotive needs.

  • Welcome customers with warmth and professionalism, creating a friendly atmosphere.
  • Listen carefully to customer concerns and inquiries regarding their vehicles, showing empathy and understanding.
  • Accurately record customer details and vehicle issues to assist technicians in diagnosing problems effectively.
  • Provide information on available services, maintenance schedules, and repair options, clearly explaining technical terms.
  • Prepare and present service estimates to customers, detailing parts and labor costs.
  • Schedule service appointments and maintain an organized service calendar to enhance shop efficiency.
  • Collaborate with technicians and staff to ensure timely service and repairs.
  • Keep customers updated on the status of their vehicles and promptly communicate any delays or additional work needed.
  • Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, maintaining professionalism and patience.
  • Promote additional services or maintenance packages based on customer vehicle history and manufacturer recommendations.

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in automotive technology is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical customers.
  • A customer-centric approach with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding service experiences.
  • A basic understanding of automotive systems and terminology, or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Organizational skills to manage service schedules effectively and handle multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting customer information.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and point-of-sale systems.
  • Previous experience in customer service or an automotive setting is a plus but not mandatory.
