Position Overview:
The primary role of the Parts Coordinator is to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience by effectively managing the lifecycle of automotive parts related to repair orders. This includes the processes of ordering, receiving, storing, dispatching, and returning parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the WOW (Wow Operating Way) strategy consistently.
- Relay customer requests and requirements to the relevant team members.
- Collaborate with suppliers to procure and receive parts as specified in repair orders, ensuring the quality and accuracy of received items.
- Distribute parts to the shop promptly, aligning with the production schedule.
- Input all parts invoices into the designated Management Information System (MIS).
- Label and monitor all parts by Repair Order number, ensuring proper storage with the corresponding vehicle.
- Communicate any Parts Price Changes (PPI) to necessary team members.
- Order and receive additional parts in the MIS, track vendor performance, and reconcile vendor invoices daily.
- Ensure timely posting and filing of invoices and credit memos.
- Verify that vendor invoices reflect the correct negotiated discounts to maintain profit margins.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3+ years of experience in automotive parts management (experience with auto body parts is advantageous).
- Strong customer service orientation and organizational skills to handle pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Initiative in problem-solving scenarios.
- I-Car Registered (working towards Gold Class certification).
Required Skills:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating multitasking capabilities.
- Familiarity with vehicle repair practices.
- Proficient in Management Information Systems such as Summit and Repair Centre.
- Knowledge of parts sourcing platforms like Car-part, Progi, APU, and LKQ B2B.
- Strong problem-solving skills and above-average computer proficiency.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Capability to work collaboratively towards common objectives.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to bend, crouch, reach, and handle tools. Must be able to lift materials exceeding 50 lbs.
