Job Title: Electronics Technician

SubCom is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to join our team. As an Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for repairing, installing, and inspecting electronic systems and devices.

Responsibilities:
  • Repair and install electronic systems and devices
  • Troubleshoot process and product issues
  • Calibrate electronic instrumentation and sensing equipment
  • Install and repair camera, paging, and speaker systems
  • Ensure database information and reporting is accurate and timely
  • Work with other trades, manufacturing personnel, engineers, and supervisory personnel to develop and implement changes to electronic components and modify operation of process control equipment
  • Complete maintenance records and calibration records
  • Read and understand maintenance manuals, work instructions, schematics, and blueprints
  • Determine material or replacement needs and take appropriate action
  • Safely operate various hand and power tools and powered industrial equipment
  • Work as a team player to facilitate the objectives of the Maintenance Department
  • Follow safety guidelines and demonstrate safe work practices and plant safety rules
  • Respond to multiple assignments in a timely and efficient manner
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in electronic technology or automation experience
  • At least 5 years of experience troubleshooting industrial electronic equipment using scopes, meters, and other types of electronic test equipment
  • Ability to use mechanical and electrical measuring equipment
  • Detailed and methodical approach to problem solving
  • Experience with electronic instrument calibration programs and using NIST standards for calibrations
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and possess the ability to react to changes of responsibility
  • Math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
  • Computer skills, including familiarization with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to solder and terminate various types of common electrical connectors
