Position Overview

Are you passionate about the hospitality industry and skilled in event sales? Hotel Saint Louis in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a dedicated Event Sales Manager to join our dynamic sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

The Event Sales Manager will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and engaging with new and returning clients to generate sales opportunities.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.
  • Handling all inquiries related to sales, crafting comprehensive proposals, conducting site visits, and finalizing contracts.
  • Negotiating competitive rates for guest accommodations, meeting spaces, and catering services.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and distributing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to align client needs with hotel operations.
  • Coordinating with various hotel departments to communicate event details and any changes.
  • Monitoring room blocks and reserved event spaces to maximize efficiency.
  • Welcoming and checking in with groups during their stay.
  • Aiming to meet and exceed sales targets related to room bookings, banquets, and average daily rates (ADR).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in catering sales, preferably within an upscale hotel environment.
  • Proficient in crafting business correspondence and preparing contracts and function sheets.
  • Ability to effectively present promotional materials and communicate with both clients and vendors.
  • Experience in forecasting revenue for private dining and catering services.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to listen and respond to client requests positively.
  • A stable work history demonstrating a strong work ethic.
