The Laryngeal Biology Laboratory at Saint Louis University is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team. As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, you will contribute to research experimentation under the general direction of the principal investigator (PI), Dean Bernard Rousseau.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Implementation of Research Experiments: Develop and execute research experiments to investigate the biology of the larynx.
- Experimentation using Pre-clinical Models: Conduct experiments using pre-clinical models to study the effects of various treatments on laryngeal tissue.
- Surgical Intra-operative Monitoring and In Vitro and In Vivo Procedures: Perform surgical intra-operative monitoring and conduct in vitro and in vivo procedures to study laryngeal function.
- Tissue Dissections and Specimen Preparation: Prepare tissue specimens for experimental assays and conduct routine molecular biology assays.
- Reporting of Results: Present research findings during laboratory and individual meetings with the PI and staff.
- Dissemination of Findings: Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
- Medical Degree or Doctoral Degree: Hold an earned medical degree (M.D.) or doctoral degree (Ph.D.).
- Surgical Experience: Have experience in surgical procedures.
- Research Experience: Have a strong interest in pursuing and conducting basic science research.
- COVID-19 Vaccination: Provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19.
