Job Overview

We are looking for a committed and resourceful Customer Service Coordinator to become a vital part of our energetic team within the steel trading sector.

This role will involve a dual reporting line to the Directors of Sales and Operations, fostering collaboration and alignment between both areas.

The successful candidate will oversee daily interactions with clients, ensuring effective coordination among sales, operations, and logistics teams.

This position requires exceptional organizational and project management abilities, alongside strong verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively address and manage customer inquiries, delivering prompt and precise information.
  • Serve as the intermediary between sales, operations, and logistics departments to facilitate efficient communication.
  • Coordinate and monitor orders, deliveries, and any arising issues, ensuring swift resolutions.
  • Assist the sales team in the preparation and management of sales documentation, contracts, and reports.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with clients to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Generate regular reports and presentations for management to assess performance and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Support the deployment and upkeep of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to optimize processes and boost efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing preferred, or 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced and adaptable environment.
  • Proficiency in all MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the steel industry or a related field.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Customer-oriented with a dedication to delivering high-quality service.
  • Self-driven and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
