About the Role

Roycemore School seeks a seasoned professional to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive student enrollment experience. As the Director of Enrollment Management, you will be responsible for designing and executing a strategic enrollment plan that aligns with the school's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement admission criteria and goals in collaboration with the Head of School
  • Design and manage the admission process and calendar to support the school's mission
  • Oversee parent school visitations, tours, Open Houses, school fairs, and other admissions activities
  • Organize student shadow days in collaboration with Division Heads
  • Meet with parents individually and/or in groups to provide information, answer questions, and secure the admission of qualified students
  • Coordinate the staffing of employees, students, and volunteers to meet admission activities
  • Cultivate and maintain effective relations within the community at large, including targeted feeder schools, community organizations, consultants, agency partners, churches, etc.
  • Identify and conduct outreach efforts, such as Open Houses, Admissions Mornings, visits to feeder schools, and other venues, and build relationships with businesses and educational organizations
  • Communicate promptly with those who contact the school by telephone or email and assure that appropriate materials are provided promptly
  • Lead efforts to prompt those who inquire about enrollment to follow through and apply for admission
  • Gather necessary information, including transcripts, reports, and insights from previous schools and others who may have knowledge about candidates
  • Schedule interviews of candidates
  • Consult with the Admissions Committee (Division Heads, faculty who meet and observe students, and, as appropriate, other school personnel) to make a timely decision regarding accepting a student
  • Communicate the decisions of the Admissions Committee(s) to the families involved
  • Take all possible steps to assure that those who are admitted are converted to actual enrollments
  • Track and report data regarding inquiries, applicants, and acceptances to assure that families have regular information about Roycemore and that consistent efforts are taken to move families further along the enrollment funnel
  • Serve as a member of the Marketing Committee of the Board
  • Maintain admissions and enrollment statistics and provide status and achievement reports to administrators and/or board members as directed
  • Support current Roycemore families through the re-enrollment and financial assistance processes
  • Oversee International Student Admissions and Marketing Program
  • Serve as the Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) for SEVIS and take responsibility for issuing I-20 visas to international students and collaborate with the International Family Liaison on all matters related to international students at Roycemore
  • Coordinate Financial Aid Awards with the Business Office
  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Communications to develop all marketing materials and media to support admission goals and promote the school
  • Collaborate with the Systems & Operations Coordinator to ensure smooth enrollment and re-enrollment processes as well as appropriate financial aid award allocations in student information systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's preferred, in education, business, or related field and a minimum of five years of relevant experience in an office or educational setting, ideally in an independent school
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
