Job Summary

As a Sales Development Manager at Air Methods, you will be responsible for building and executing sales plans in collaboration with senior leadership to drive business growth in assigned sales areas. Your focus will be on growing market share by targeting specific customers where Air Methods has resources available, securing agreements, and expanding existing relationships to meet specified KPIs and annual goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grow business by selling Air Methods' air medical services to targeted customers in the sales area, achieving annual Air Methods' KPIs.
  • Cultivate opportunities to sell Air Methods' value-added services to customers within the area.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to provide timely updates on business opportunities, including competitive market intelligence.
  • Collaborate with area managers to ensure the area has a specific business development strategy to grow existing accounts to meet KPI expectations.
  • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of market dynamics, including competitor activity, hospital service line changes, and competitor sales strategies.
  • Coordinate with area managers for customer service recovery and monitor daily patient transport activity to understand volume trends.
  • Manage all ordering and distributing marketing items for business segments and attend conferences and regulatory meetings.
  • Communicate closely with other Air Methods disciplines to coordinate daily activities and Outreach Education programs that support the business plan in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • Ensure internal customers understand the business development strategy, have marketing resources, and talking points of important sales initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, three to five years related experience and/or training within aviation or medical and medical transportation services, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three to five years sales experience, with a demonstrated understanding of health care and air medical industries.
  • Experience in medical transportation services or health care business development/sales preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking and reasoning skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires prioritization and multi-tasking.
  • Traditional sales skills, including meeting sales goals, closing skills, territory management, prospecting, negotiation, product knowledge, presentation skills, and client relationships.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and mapping software.
