  • Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Determine customer vehicle needs through active listening and questioning.
  • Present and demonstrate new and used vehicles, including test drives.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers, educating them on operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
  • Attend sales meetings to stay informed and aligned with dealership goals.
  • Maintain an owner follow-up system to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Stay up-to-date on new products, features, and accessories to provide informed sales support.
  • Establish personal income goals consistent with dealership standards and devise strategies to meet them.
  • Report to the General Sales Manager on objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses.
  • Review and analyze daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly performance to optimize time and plans.
Qualifications
  • Pass factory tests and become a certified salesperson.
  • Understand federal, state, and local laws governing retail auto sales.
  • Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize the quality and efficiency of the dealership's service operations.
  • Carry out sales, customer service, and job performance as indicated in the Sales Consultant Performance Checklist.
  • Must be legally and technically able to safely operate company and customer-owned vehicles.
  • Must be insurable by Company insurance company.
  • Must follow Company safety policies and practices, and immediately report any and all accidents to a Manager/Supervisor.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Must have a valid in-state driver's license and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to sell a minimum quota according to dealership standards.
