Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Assistant to join our team at Naval Education and Training Command. As a key member of our recruiting team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Navy Recruiting Processing Station in San Antonio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify gaps and inconsistencies in application data and interview applicants to obtain necessary information.
  • Review forms, documents, and other related information from enlisted applicants and construct initial enlisted service records.
  • Submit requests for medical records for applicants who have previously completed a physical examination.
  • Schedule applicants for physical exams and processing at the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS).
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS 04 grade level or equivalent in the Federal service or private/public sector.

  • Experience must demonstrate the following skills: using computers and software to perform basic automated functions, preparing reports or briefs to submit to management, and maintaining files, records, or forms.

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with a combination of education and experience that equates to one year of experience. A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
