Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team at the Naval Education and Training Command. As a key member of our recruiting team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Navy Recruiting Processing Station in San Antonio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and resolve gaps in application data and interview applicants to obtain necessary information
  • Review and process forms, documents, and other related information from enlisted applicants
  • Construct initial enlisted service records and submit requests for medical records
  • Schedule applicants for physical exams and processing at the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS)
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS 04 grade level or equivalent in the Federal service or private/public sector. Your resume must demonstrate the following skills:

  • Using computers and software to perform basic automated functions
  • Preparing reports or briefs to submit to management
  • Maintaining files, records, or forms

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with a combination of education and experience. A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
