The Leumas Group is in search of a dependable and experienced Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee crucial maintenance operations within our establishment. In this role, you will be tasked with a diverse range of responsibilities, including plumbing and carpentry repairs, appliance installations, and preventive maintenance. A strong sense of reliability, self-motivation, and attention to detail are essential qualities for success in this position. The ideal candidate will possess substantial hands-on experience, their own set of tools, and comprehensive technical knowledge. Manual dexterity and physical endurance are necessary for the demands of this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily functions of the maintenance department.
  • Assess systems or facilities to identify necessary maintenance or repairs.
  • Evaluate building systems to organize work assignments and project timelines.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules.
  • Ensure that maintenance and repair tasks are executed accurately and promptly.
  • Assist in preparing departmental budget estimates and costs for specific repair initiatives.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
  • Complete work order repairs as designated, which may include fixing locks, cabinetry, drywall, plumbing, etc.
  • Inspect control panels and electrical wiring to diagnose issues.
  • Install appliances and equipment as required.
  • Conduct inspections of units.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g., ventilation).
  • Verify the functionality of safety systems (e.g., fire alarms, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers).
  • Collaborate with vendors and other professionals performing work on-site.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Demonstrated experience as a maintenance supervisor or in a similar role is essential.
  • Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems is necessary.
  • CAMT certification is preferred.
  • HVAC certification is required.
  • EPA Certification is required.
  • Experience with hand and power tools is essential.
  • Ability to comprehend basic technical manuals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity are required.

Compensation: $30.00 per hour
