Position Overview

This position is part of the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Revenue Team, focusing on the reporting, forecasting, and analysis of financial data, revenue influences, and economic indicators for Visa Inc. The Senior Financial Analyst will be instrumental in generating insights and recommendations for Corporate FP&A leadership, coordinating global forecasting and budgeting cycles, and evaluating performance against established plans. This role will also entail supporting the preparation of quarterly reporting materials for the Visa Inc. Board and Earnings, as well as monthly business performance reports for the Visa Inc. leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular analysis of Visa's business metrics, revenues, and yields for global reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Monitor monthly financial and operational performance, utilizing reports from regional and global teams to clarify variances from forecasts and budgets.
  • Assist in the creation of corporate guidance for forecasting and budgeting cycles.
  • Collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Regional FP&A Teams, Controllership, and Treasury.
  • Support the development of quarterly Board and Earnings reporting materials.
  • Identify risks and opportunities affecting performance and evaluate their implications on Visa's financials.
  • Facilitate the coordination of global forecasting and budgeting activities, acting as a business partner to regional and functional finance teams, ensuring adherence to deadlines and corporate standards, while aiding in consolidation, analysis, and reporting at the global level.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to surpass customer expectations and foster a professional finance organization.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role, allowing employees to alternate between remote and office work. Employees in hybrid positions are expected to work from the office 2-3 predetermined days each week, with a general guideline of being present in the office 50% or more of the time based on business requirements.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
* A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or at least 2 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or no experience with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Over 6 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
- MBA, CFA, or equivalent accounting qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) are advantageous.
- 5+ years of consulting or finance experience in a multinational context.
- Background in FP&A, consulting, or investment banking.
- Proficient in managing extensive data sets and converting data into meaningful business narratives.
- High proficiency in Excel with a proven ability to enhance processes through automation and efficiency improvements. Experience with complex financial systems (e.g., Oracle, Hyperion) is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Self-driven with a positive outlook.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional planning and time management capabilities.
- Strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional, global, and matrixed team.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies based on departmental needs.

Travel Requirements: This role may involve travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be conducted in an office environment, requiring the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and via telephone, and frequently operate standard office equipment such as computers and telephones.
