Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with teams to clarify roles and responsibilities, ensuring accountability and timely task completion.
  • Continuously refine the organizational structure for enhanced clarity and efficiency.
  • Facilitate regular meetings to track progress and improve performance metrics.
  • Set performance standards and foster team camaraderie while holding everyone accountable.
  • Develop key performance indicators, prioritizing foundational stability over volume growth in the initial year.
  • Promote the company's identity and capabilities, particularly in energy and plumbing services.
  • Enhance operational processes to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately, ensuring the long-term success of the organization.
  • Participate in recruitment and onboarding to attract top talent and elevate team members.
  • Provide coaching to help team members reach their full potential.
  • Identify training needs and create development plans for current and future employees.
  • Collaborate on financial reviews to ensure accurate financial management.
  • Evaluate current financial systems and explore potential improvements.
  • Assume operational responsibilities to allow leadership to focus on strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in operations management at a senior level.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience with direct oversight of at least 5 team members.
  • 3+ years of experience managing P&L in the $10M+ range.
  • Experience in construction project management within trade services.

Preferred:

  • Experience as a Vice President or President of Operations.
  • Management of individual projects in the $2M+ range.
  • Experience in mechanical trade services.
  • B2B sales experience.
  • Experience working with unions.

Desired:

  • Master Electrician or plumbing background.
  • 4-year college degree.
  • Established industry connections in Southeast Wisconsin.
