**Role Summary**

The Retail Operations Supervisor partners with the Store Manager and leadership team to create, document, and execute practices, policies, and strategies that foster a performance-oriented culture. This individual will oversee the daily operations of the dispensary and address the needs of all patients/customers. Alongside the Store Manager, this role is tasked with recruiting and nurturing a team of enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about cannabis and adhere to state and local regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**
  • Manage and execute all functions related to the administration and oversight of a retail medical marijuana dispensary operating under appropriate licensure.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure accurate inventory of all cannabis products.
  • Supervise dispensary staff activities and make recommendations or decisions regarding hiring, discipline, termination, or promotion of employees.
  • Ensure that all procedures are updated in-store to provide optimal practices for staff and patients.
  • Train dispensary personnel to guarantee consistent performance and a thorough understanding of company standard operating procedures, cannabis products, and best practices for dispensary staff.
  • Ensure Key Performance Indicators are accurately tracked.
  • Oversee daily financial reporting and manage all cash handling processes.
  • Develop and maintain a staffing schedule for all dispensary employees.
  • Communicate any patient incidents or complaints to the Store Manager, Regional Dispensary Manager, or Compliance team.
  • Safeguard patient rights by managing the employee HIPAA education program and ensuring confidentiality and privacy of protected health information and financial data.
  • Oversee patient education and counseling initiatives, continuously reviewing and updating information provided by the dispensary regarding medical conditions and cannabis products.
  • Assist in executing the strategic plan to guide the dispensary's operations and growth under the direction of the Regional Dispensary Manager.
  • Maintain awareness of both external and internal competitive landscapes, opportunities for improvement, and industry developments.
  • Support compliance with all relevant statutes, regulations, and directives, as well as best practices.
  • Aim for patient satisfaction in all aspects and ensure a welcoming environment at the dispensary.
  • Guarantee 100% traceability of products from reception to sale.
  • Notify the Compliance team and Head of Retail in the event of a high-risk customer complaint.
**Qualifications**

• Must meet minimum age requirements as determined by local, state, and federal regulations.

• Must pass a background check as required by local, state, and federal regulations.

• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

• Physical capability to perform manual labor tasks necessary for effective dispensary management, including lifting up to 75 lbs. and pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.

**Education**

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.

**Experience**
  • 1-3 years in retail, customer service, or a comparable leadership role.

**Direct Reports**
  • No direct reports, but leads project teams.
**Working Conditions**
  • Work is primarily conducted in a dispensary environment, which may have strong odors and fluctuating temperatures.
  • Frequent interaction with staff, vendors, and customers, including law enforcement and occasional state inspectors.
**Physical Requirements**
  • Regular communication with customers and caregivers regarding medical conditions and symptoms, requiring accurate information exchange about product offerings.
  • Frequent operation of computer/POS systems and standard office equipment.
  • Must be able to remain stationary when checking in customers or operating the register.
  • Constant movement and transportation of dispensary products/totes up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to twist, turn, bend, stand, and walk as necessary to fulfill the duties of a dispensary agent.
