Job Overview

MBS Pro Staffing is seeking a dedicated Control Systems Engineer. This role is a full-time direct hire opportunity.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Control Systems Engineer will collaborate with the Engineered-to-Order (ETO) and Modernization teams to deliver tailored software and hardware solutions that meet client specifications. Join a dynamic team of software, electrical, and field engineers, where you will engage in commissioning, troubleshooting, software updates, and ensuring our systems exceed client expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Customize crane control systems utilizing existing software modules and global automation engineering standards for various applications that align with client requirements.
  • Assist in factory acceptance testing, commissioning, and the lifecycle management of material handling equipment within ETO and Modernization by understanding and modifying PLC software as needed.
  • Provide feedback and improvement suggestions to the Automation Engineering Manager.
  • Oversee suppliers of automation peripheral equipment, such as SICK, and develop replacements for obsolete devices requiring software updates or modified interfaces.
  • Collaborate with engineers and service technicians to resolve control, software, and automation issues by defining problems, conducting research, and preparing effective solutions.
  • Travel to client locations as necessary to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred, or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience.

Experience:

1 to 3 years of programming experience with Siemens PLC platforms and Siemens HMI programming.
