Automation Controls Specialist

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Automation Controls Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated systems for various manufacturing industries. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, excellent communication and project management abilities, and a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Plan, design, and develop automated systems, including electrical machine schematics, panel layouts, and robotics integration.
- Programming and Testing: Program HMI's, PLC's, motion controls, and vision systems, and test and debug automated systems to ensure they meet customer requirements.
- Commissioning and Training: Commission automated systems at customer facilities, provide training to customer personnel, and ensure that systems are properly documented and maintained.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, mechanical engineering, and shop floor technicians, to ensure that automation solutions meet customer needs and expectations.
- Research and Development: Stay current with best available technologies related to automation, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years' experience in automation design and programming, with a strong background in electrical controls and robotics.
- Skills: Allen Bradley PLC and HMI controls experience, strong knowledge of 2D software design tools, FANUC robot setup and programming experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
