The Opportunity
This role is situated within Abbott's Heart Failure division, focusing on Medical Devices. As an Operational Excellence Consultant, you will be pivotal in executing and managing initiatives aimed at enhancing business performance. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating on new initiatives that add value to the operational excellence framework.
- Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational efficiency and implementing solutions for underperforming metrics.
- Applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive project success and improve profit margins.
- Supporting project execution by managing timelines, identifying risks, and ensuring stakeholder engagement.
- Developing and implementing change management and communication strategies to facilitate successful project outcomes.
- Addressing project challenges by collaborating with team members and cross-functional partners.
- Overseeing the rollout of projects until they are fully integrated into the respective departments.
- Creating and refining training materials and resources to support project initiatives.
- Enhancing communication across departments to foster a culture of excellence.
- Organizing meetings for exempt and direct staff to promote engagement and alignment.
- Leading assigned departments by establishing clear goals and programs that align with organizational objectives.

Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, science, or a related discipline.
- 2-5 years of experience in engineering, operations, or project management focused on business improvement initiatives.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
- Strong project management, multitasking, and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
