Job Summary: This role involves coordinating and overseeing the activities of a designated work group or cell. The position includes providing on-the-job training as necessary and ensuring that work and customer requirements are met while adhering to all company quality and safety protocols. Input regarding performance may be provided to the Supervisor or Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise the assignments and ensure the proper execution of work activities by team members in various functions (e.g., inspection, general warehouse operations, material handling, etc.).
2. Lead by example, maintaining organization and promoting excellent housekeeping practices throughout the workspace.
3. Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols and comply with company health and safety regulations.
4. Manage the coordination of shift start-up tasks and oversee end-of-shift clean-up or other responsibilities.
5. Ensure that all necessary tools and materials are available for job completion.
6. Provide on-the-job training for new work instructions as required.
7. Report any accidents or incidents to a supervisor immediately.
8. Notify the Supervisor or Manager of any policy or procedure violations.
9. Actively participate in and support all health and safety initiatives and requirements.
This position operates directly on the warehouse floor, in proximity to heavy machinery.
