Regional Sales Executive

The Regional Sales Executive plays a crucial role in fostering customer connections, pursuing potential leads, and building strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients. This position serves as a vital link between assigned customers and our Operations team.
The primary objective of the Regional Sales Executive is to sustain and enhance relationships with their designated customer portfolio while also focusing on acquiring new business through effective lead generation and referrals.
The Commercial and Industrial sales division specializes in a variety of industrial lubricant solutions, including lubricants for commercial vehicles, industrial lubricants, and engineering services tailored for industrial applications.
Our commitment is to act as a partner to our clients, offering comprehensive lubricant programs that address all their requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cultivate and sustain relationships with the assigned client base by establishing trust and rapport.
2. Serve as a liaison between clients and our Operations and Customer Experience teams, providing support for account maintenance and service inquiries.
3. Engage in research to address product, service, and delivery challenges.
4. Act as a trusted partner to clients by understanding their needs, proposing effective solutions, and following up on any issues.
5. Pursue leads generated through online inquiries, phone calls, and referrals, ensuring all activities are documented in the company CRM.
6. Generate new leads through cold calling, referrals, and sales outreach within the assigned territory.
7. Monitor and report on sales volumes and field activities to management on a weekly basis.
8. Travel within the designated territory to engage with both regular and prospective clients.
9. Become a trusted advisor for the assigned client base by familiarizing yourself with our manufacturers' programs and educating clients on optimal lubrication practices.
10. Prepare sales contracts, price quotes, and credit applications for clients, effectively presenting information to close deals.11. Represent The McPherson Companies, our products, and programs in a professional and ethical manner to customers and prospects.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience with strong communication, organizational, and closing skills.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.
- Previous experience in a field environment is desirable.
- Ability to make independent decisions within the scope of the role.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships.
- Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks within set deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and resolving complex issues with minimal guidance.
- Responsive to the needs of both internal and external customers.
- Strong sense of urgency and commitment with effective follow-up skills.
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Maintain a professional and positive demeanor in all interactions with customers.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated individual with strong planning and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
The responsibilities of this position are performed in a controlled office environment.
This role requires the ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals including colleagues, customers, and vendors.
