GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE

The Beauty Sales Specialist for Clinique is tasked with enhancing sales for the Clinique brand, which encompasses color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrances. This role involves engaging with customers to assess their unique needs, guiding them in selecting and purchasing products, and upholding store standards, including cleanliness and inventory replenishment. The Specialist embodies the image, products, and ethos of Ulta Beauty and the Clinique brand, supporting the Experience Manager through a focus on performance, people, and processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Performance

  • Achieve or surpass sales and client engagement targets for the Clinique brand while contributing to overall store objectives related to retail and service sales.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by warmly greeting and engaging each guest, tailoring service to their preferences, offering samples, and suggesting complementary products.
  • Conduct makeup applications, skincare assessments, and product demonstrations for guests.
  • Schedule appointments and assist in executing services and in-store events that provide an unparalleled guest experience while meeting sales targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, actively engaging with a growing clientele for Clinique brand sales.
  • Inform guests about current promotions, events, and services available in-store.
  • Stay updated on new and existing products and services to enhance guest interactions.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

People

  • Foster an inclusive atmosphere that supports colleagues and the guests we serve.
  • Educate guests about the benefits of the loyalty program, including credit options and the Ulta Beauty app.
  • Build strong relationships with Clinique brand partners through training participation and event execution.
  • Collaborate with management and team members to drive business growth.
  • Engage in ongoing training to facilitate professional development and enhance Clinique brand sales performance.

Process

  • Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty's policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Adhere to the brand dress code, including wearing designated brand assets.
  • Drive sales by maintaining a well-stocked and organized work area, ensuring testers are hygienically managed.
  • Uphold exceptional operational standards, ensuring merchandise and testing stations meet company expectations.
  • Participate in merchandise resets, marketing displays, and inventory processes for the Clinique brand.
  • Safeguard company assets by following loss prevention protocols while delivering outstanding guest service.
  • Execute additional operational tasks as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Cosmetology or demonstrator license as required by state law.

Experience

  • Preferred experience in cosmetics artistry.

Skills

  • Proven competency in sales, product knowledge, and customer service.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficient in managing guest concerns and multitasking in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Participation in brand-sponsored training sessions.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Frequent mobility during shifts.
  • Regular standing, bending, and reaching throughout the workday.
  • Continuous lifting and/or moving up to 10 lbs.
  • Consistent coordination and manipulation of objects during shifts.

COMPENSATION: The pay range for this position is $27.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on various factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and business needs. Full-time positions are eligible for benefits such as paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage. Part-time positions may qualify for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
