Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Review Nurse to join our team at AmTrust Financial Services. As a Clinical Review Nurse, you will play a critical role in reviewing medical necessity, appropriateness, quality, and efficiency of services for Workers' Compensation claimants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform utilization review activities prospectively, concurrently, or retrospectively in accordance with jurisdictional guidelines.
  • Use clinical/nursing skills to determine medical necessity and appropriateness of patient care.
  • Assess treatment requests to make medical necessity determinations and communicate with providers and claims adjusters as needed.
  • Document utilization review activities accurately and complete timely reviews according to state requirements.
  • Collaborate with the AmTrust Claims Adjuster team to expedite medically necessary treatment for each claim.
Requirements
  • Active unrestricted RN license in a state or territory of the United States with eligibility to get and/or renew a multistate license.
  • 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Education & Licensing: Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from accredited college or university or equivalent work experience preferred.
