About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Analyst to join our US Channel business team at Apple. As a key member of our Demand Forecast and Analysis group, you will play a critical role in supporting our Controller, Sales Directors, and other cross-functional teams in driving business growth and financial success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate financial models, reports, and market analysis to inform business decisions
  • Forecast weekly sell-through, sell-in, and channel inventory, identifying potential risks and opportunities
  • Propose detailed revisions to current quarter forecast, explaining internal and external drivers and financial impact
  • Quantify the uplifts associated with promotional offers and size the non-promotional baseline demand used for sales negotiations
  • Build quarterly unit forecast for future quarters and track business performance against it, understanding reasons for performance variances
  • Stay up-to-date with the consumer electronics industry, competitor launches, promotions, and service plan offerings
  • Develop and maintain scalable Excel models (Tableau and Business Objects experience preferred) for standard reporting and ad-hoc analysis
  • Support the ongoing development of Apple's business support systems
Requirements
  • 6+ years of corporate finance experience or related forecast/planning experience
  • Strong verbal, written, and visual interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated success in balancing multiple activities/projects, priorities, and people in a dynamic, fast-growing, results-driven environment
  • Ability to communicate complex analysis in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to act independently and be proactive
  • Exhibit the highest standards of accuracy and strong organizational skills
  • Confirmed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to build effective business partnerships in a cross-functional organization
  • Ability to see the big picture while simultaneously zooming into the details
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and deal with ambiguity
  • Self-starting attitude and strong leadership and influencing skills
  • Excel Specialist (Macro experience preferred)
  • Keynote/presentation skills
  • Experience with Demantra, Business Objects, Tableau, and Essbase
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with financial modeling, reporting, and market analysis
  • Strong understanding of the consumer electronics industry and competitor landscape
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with business intelligence tools and data analysis software
