Responsibilities

* Knowledge of optimization algorithms and tools (Gurobi/Cplex/Xpress) is advantageous.
* Experience in prototyping, developing software, and implementing data science pipelines and applications using programming languages (Python/Java/C++).

Key Qualifications
  • Collaborate with business teams to identify opportunities, comprehend requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and lead essential projects.
  • Design data science methodologies, employing established techniques or creating custom algorithms tailored to business challenges.
  • Work alongside data engineers and infrastructure partners to develop robust solutions and operationalize models, adapting to evolving business needs with agility.
  • Effectively communicate analysis results and model outcomes to partners and senior leadership.
  • Investigate new technologies and methodologies in data science, data engineering, and data visualization to enhance the team's technical capabilities.
Education & Experience

PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline with over 5 years of industry experience, or a Master's degree in a related field with 7+ years of hands-on industry experience. Experience in building and deploying forecasting models in production environments is highly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one component of our total compensation package, determined within a range that allows for growth and development in your role. The base pay range for this position is between $175,800 and $264,200, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees can also participate in discretionary employee stock programs, including restricted stock unit awards and discounted stock purchases through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Benefits include comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, discounts on products and services, and reimbursement for educational expenses related to career advancement. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments.
