Position Type: Contingent

Role Title: Project Manager

The Joint Staff Security Office (JSSO) operates within a secure environment, managing operations from unclassified to Top Secret (TS)/SCI levels. The office provides a range of security services, including but not limited to, personnel clearance management, in/out processing, SCI Facility (SCIF) management and accreditation, collateral space oversight, and protection of classified information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and lead a collaborative kick-off meeting with Government and contractor personnel.
  • Contribute to the formulation of the program's Transition Plan to maintain seamless support for the JSSO.
  • Assist in the creation, presentation, and execution of the Quality Control Plan for the program.
  • Provide regular updates for the Monthly Status Report.
  • Ensure adequate support for the core missions of the JSSO.
  • Facilitate cross-training of contractor personnel to enhance surge capacity as needed.
  • Oversee the processing of tasks through the Joint Staff Action Processing (JSAP) management system.
  • Guarantee timely and quality completion of program tasks, which encompass:
    • Program Management and Policy Support
    • Information Security (INFOSEC)
    • Communications Security (COMSEC)
    • Personnel Security (PERSEC)
    • Privacy Act Compliance
    • Operations Security (OPSEC)
    • Physical Security (PHYSEC)
    • Insider Threat Management
    • Foreign Disclosure Support
    • Administrative Assistance

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in English with the ability to interpret and draft government documentation.
  • Extensive knowledge and practical experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in security fields such as INFOSEC, COMSEC, PERSEC, PHYSEC, Insider Threat, OPSEC, and Privacy.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (H.S. Diploma plus six additional years in related security roles).
  • Eligibility for TS/SCI clearance.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service to Government personnel, military members, contractors, and visitors.
