Position: Personnel Security Adjudicator - Program Manager

Role Summary: We are seeking a proactive, meticulous, and committed individual to fill the role of Program Manager with a focus on Personnel Security Adjudications for a Federal Government client. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in managing background adjudications within the federal landscape, overseeing the adjudication workflow, and guiding a team of adjudicators and support personnel.

**Remote Work Opportunity - Candidates must reside in DC, Maryland, or Virginia**

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct the Personnel Security Team and Adjudicators, ensuring precise suitability prescreening, including the review of case files and formulation of suitability/fitness recommendations in accordance with 5 CFR 731.
  • Perform quality evaluations of all activities conducted by the Personnel Security Staff.
  • Establish operational frameworks and manage team workloads to ensure timely and efficient adjudication processes.
  • Generate comprehensive written analyses and provide strategic recommendations to address complex issues; identify high-priority cases for further examination.
  • Engage with on-site Government personnel, security officials, and external agencies as necessary to resolve personnel security-related issues, acting as a subject matter expert.
  • Serve as a mentor and senior consultant for Personnel Security Adjudicators and Assistants.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Program Manager or Deputy Program Manager overseeing Personnel Security Adjudications.
  • At least 5 years of experience in conducting Personnel Security Adjudications for the Federal Government, whether as a government employee or contractor.
  • Active Security Clearance is preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of 5 CFR 731 is required.
