Job Description

As a Sales Representative for Tyler Union, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with distributors, contractors, and municipalities within your assigned territory. Your primary goal will be to create value and drive financial results through effective sales strategies and product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in your territory, including distributors, contractors, and municipalities.
  • Understand and effectively communicate the features and benefits of Tyler Union's product line to customers and stakeholders.
  • Conduct training and engineering presentations to improve specification position within your territory.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, quotations, production, distribution, and engineering, to achieve territory sales objectives.
  • Stay informed about business, product, and competitive trends within your territory and provide insights to management.
  • Participate in resolving internal issues that may impact customers, such as quality, manufacturing, scheduling, and delivery issues.
  • Analyze sales levels and trends, and implement actions to ensure the attainment of sales objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Previous outside sales experience and a strong understanding of sales functions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is preferred, but not required. Relevant work experience in the waterworks industry is also considered.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the domestic market, as required by projects and work responsibilities.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record are essential.

Additional Information:

This role requires standing for long periods, sitting for extended periods, and traveling to job sites. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn based on the environment.
