Senior Account Executive

Nike Communications, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Account Executive to join our Lifestyle team in our New York office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading media relations efforts, building lasting relationships with journalists and media members, and participating in strategy and brainstorming sessions to help plan and execute media campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead media relations efforts to secure earned media, focusing on marquee feature stories in top national outlets and emerging media platforms.
- Cultivate genuine relationships with journalists and media members, fostering trust and mutual respect.
- Assist with facilitating media events and product launches, ensuring every detail is perfect and every attendee feels welcome.
- Participate in strategy and brainstorming sessions to help plan and execute media campaigns.
- Support the growth and advancement of junior staff through mentoring, development, and retention efforts.
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders with professionalism and empathy.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of full-time, post-graduate experience in public relations and media relations.
- Genuine enthusiasm and in-depth knowledge of the Lifestyle and Entertainment industries.
- Comprehensive understanding of the media landscape, including print, online, broadcast, and new-media channels.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic workplace, showcasing adaptability and resilience.
