Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Support Specialist to join our team at South Coast Children's Society. As a key member of our Wraparound Program, you will play a vital role in providing intensive, family-centered services to children and families in need.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and facilitate Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings to ensure effective collaboration and decision-making.
  • Conduct strengths-based assessments of children and families to identify needs and priorities.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Child and Family Plans to promote family strengths and self-sufficiency.
  • Provide crisis management and intervention services as needed.
  • Collaborate with community agencies and resources to ensure comprehensive support for families.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a human-service related field, preferably in a Wraparound program.
  • Licensure, registration, or certification in a relevant field.
  • Valid CA driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to drive a motor vehicle without restrictions and frequently travel to client settings.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, climb stairs, and walk while in route to and during family visits.
