About the OpportunityThe YMCA of Greater Boston is seeking a highly motivated and culturally competent PSE Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Nutrition Education department, you will play a vital role in supporting our Mobile Market Food Truck program, which serves communities across the city of Boston with fresh produce and nutrition education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support at Mobile Market Food Truck sites, including setting up nutrition tables and SWAP materials.
  • Create engaging activities to help participants understand SWAP principles and concepts.
  • Support the SNAP-Ed team with nutrition lessons and cooking demonstrations.
  • Cultivate a welcoming environment and ensure safe crowd control and flow.
  • Train volunteers to provide a nutrition component alongside each Mobile Market Food Truck site.
  • Assist with community engagement activities and attend weekly team meetings.


Requirements and Qualifications
  • Culturally competent and able to work with diverse populations.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office and spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to write and communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds occasionally.


About the YMCA of Greater BostonWe are a lead partner for the Greater Boston Food Bank and operate a warehouse Grocery Bag Distribution Program that packages and delivers over 4,500 grocery bags weekly. Our goal is to serve communities daily with food choice and individual selection. With an annual delivery of over 3 million meals, we are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of those we serve. Estimated salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year.
