Position Summary:The Training Delivery Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing and facilitating training activities at the Diplomatic Security Training Center (DSTC), ensuring effective instruction in relevant subject matter.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage all operational and administrative aspects of training delivery.
- Coordinate instructor teams and training facilities, monitor performance, and collaborate with the Program Manager on evaluations.
- Provide logistical support and orientation for training sessions.
- Clarify tasks related to training delivery and offer guidance on execution.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to draft reports on training effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and update training materials in line with established standards.
- Work with relevant departments to facilitate procurement of necessary equipment and services and assist in budget preparation for training initiatives.
- Maintain and report on course metrics and statistics in a timely manner.
- Assess the implications of proposed changes in training programs and requirements.
- Serve as an SME and instructor in specialized areas covered in DSTC training.
- Identify and propose new training opportunities aligned with DSTC objectives.
- Operate U.S. government vehicles as required for job functions.
- Perform additional duties as necessary to support training delivery and instructional needs.
This position does not include supervisory duties.
Qualifications:Applicants should possess an Associate's degree and have a minimum of three years of experience in administrative or program management within a federal agency or a security-related organization.
Additionally, candidates should have at least two years of instructional experience and three years of expertise in DSTC subject matter.
Skills and Competencies:- Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional methodologies.
- Completion of an instructor development training course is preferred.
- Familiarity with administrative and program management functions.
- Knowledge of international relations, law enforcement, and event coordination is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with various stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational skills and proficiency in oral and written communication.
- Able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to work in diverse environmental conditions.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate government vehicles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
U.S. citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
Physical Demands:This role may require lifting, sitting, answering phones, typing, and moving files.
Travel Requirements:Occasional travel to training sites may be necessary, not exceeding 25% of total work time.
Work Environment:This position is primarily office-based.
