Job Title: Operational Medicine Instructor III

Olgoonik is a leading provider of professional contracting services, and we are seeking an experienced Operational Medicine Instructor III to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Operational Medicine Instructor III will serve as an instructor and subject matter expert on operational medicine issues, presenting instruction in the form of lectures, conferences, group discussions, and psychomotor exercises. The incumbent will instruct a broad spectrum of students using adult learning techniques, guiding student activities and monitoring students during practical applications of skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver training programs on operational medicine, including Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) doctrine
  • Plan, organize, and present training sessions, including lectures, conferences, and group discussions
  • Guide student activities and monitor students during practical applications of skills
  • Maintain currency in tactical/operational medical issues, reviewing medical and open-source publications
  • Liaise with the medical community to ensure current information and procedures are incorporated into courses
  • Collaborate with other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create and update lesson plans, instructor guides, student guides, practical exercises, and power points
  • Lead the team evaluation process to determine the effectiveness of the training and make recommendations for improvement
  • Develop course scheduling and coordinate with government and intra-agency groups to ensure calendar and training area deconfliction for events
  • Provide logistical and general support, including receiving, unpacking, storing, assembling, and issuing supplies, materials, and equipment
  • Travel to multiple locations to provide instruction and perform duties in field conditions in all climates
Requirements:
  • At least two (2) years as an Instructor II or equivalent experience
  • Ten to fifteen years of prior military service and experience or equivalent experience in the functional area field
  • Successfully graduated from military or civil schooling in the designated program or functional areas
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in an associated technical discipline or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Knowledge in training course administrative/logistics
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, including walking, standing, bending, and lifting of medium to heavy objects
  • Program management and supervisory experience in a training and/or educational environment
  • Intermediate knowledge of training and instructional methodologies related to adult learning
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment
  • Experience supervising or administering a training program
Security Clearance:

Possess or be able to obtain/maintain a SECRET security clearance

Physical Demands:

Ability to complete work requiring regular and recurring physical exertion, including periods of standing, occasional heavy lifting, and irregular hours in both training and protective service operations

Travel:

Travels as necessary to other U.S. and foreign training sites, though it is not expected such travel will exceed 25% of total work time
