Facilities Operations Manager

Are you a proactive and driven professional looking to contribute to a reputable organization? Wixon, a leading manufacturer of custom seasoning blends and flavor systems, is seeking a dedicated Facilities Operations Manager.

This pivotal role within the Wixon Operations team is responsible for ensuring the optimal functionality of equipment and facilities across all locations. The manager collaborates closely with various Operations departments, Environmental Health & Safety, and Security to fulfill this mission. The position is crucial for implementing strategies that enhance machinery and equipment reliability while maintaining facilities to ensure seamless business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the Safety, Quality, and Efficiency of the Maintenance Department.
  2. Develop and manage the annual budget for the department.
  3. Supervise all work orders related to preventive and repair maintenance performed by Wixon staff and contractors.
  4. Maintain regular communication with department heads regarding their maintenance requirements.
  5. Recommend purchases for replacement or new equipment as necessary.
  6. Identify and define new equipment and processes aimed at improving production quality and reducing costs.
  7. Coordinate engineering support for building modifications, renovations, roofing, or structural changes.

Essential Qualifications:

  1. Eight to ten years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, with a preference for expertise in liquid and solid mixing and packaging equipment.
  2. A four-year degree in engineering or a related discipline.
  3. Proficient in Reliability Centered Maintenance and Lean Manufacturing techniques, particularly 5S and Total Productive Maintenance.
  4. Experience in capital project development and implementation.
  5. Over five years of experience in people management.
  6. A proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a skilled team of technicians.
  7. A degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred.
