Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Direct the Facilities Division to ensure:

  • Workplace Safety
  • Capacity Management
  • Production Expansion
  • Quality Control
  • Maintenance of Process Equipment (including material handling and utilities)
  • Enhancements in Process and Utility Efficiency
  • Operation of Refrigeration Systems
  • Ongoing Process and Plant Enhancements

2. Formulate and execute strategies to boost the efficiency of plant utilities and production workflows.

3. Ensure all new installations of equipment and utilities comply with regulatory standards and the strategic vision of the plant.

4. Enhance process and facility efficiencies while minimizing production interruptions through a predictive and preventive maintenance framework.

5. Develop and manage the capital and operational budget for the facility.

6. Foster the professional growth of all team members within the Facilities Division.

7. Guarantee that all maintenance personnel receive adequate training to meet organizational requirements.

8. Ensure compliance of all Facilities personnel with company policies and operational standards related to HAACP, SQF, GMP, and SOP.

9. Achieve optimal value in the procurement of materials and labor for all Facilities-related projects.

10. Ensure the facility adheres to OSHA, EPA, BOCA, DEQ, Board of Health, and other relevant federal, state, and local regulatory mandates.

11. Assist the Senior Facilities Manager with assigned projects and the achievement of Company objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in maintenance or utility management.
  • Preferred certifications: Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP).
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Experience with Oracle EAM or similar computerized maintenance management systems is required.
  • Background in food manufacturing is essential.
  • Experience in contractor management is necessary.
  • Desirable problem-solving methodologies: RCA, A3, 5Why, or similar.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to present information to all management levels.
  • Excellent analytical and logical problem-solving abilities.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) is preferred.
  • Experience in maintenance management within the meat industry is advantageous.
