Job Overview

The Manufacturing Process Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency and productivity within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement the most effective methods for utilizing personnel, machinery, materials, information, and energy in the production of goods or services.
  • Analyze and document the time, motion, methods, and speed associated with various operational tasks to establish benchmarks and enhance productivity.
  • Ensure the reliability and safety of manufacturing systems while optimizing production rates, efficiency, yield, distribution, costs, and changeovers.
  • Devise innovative solutions to improve processes.
  • Gather, document, and analyze data to propose enhancements for managerial review, implement approved plans, and conduct follow-up assessments over a minimum of 12 months.
  • Suggest modifications to operational methods, material handling, equipment, and layout to boost production and elevate standards.
  • Oversee the maintenance of TPS tools, equipment, and inventory.
  • Design and execute systems that enhance all aspects of the production process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cost-effective production processes for new initiatives.
  • Investigate and recommend new manufacturing technologies aimed at cost reduction.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient in evaluating the costs and benefits of potential actions.
  • Skilled in creating work instructions and process flow diagrams.
  • Knowledgeable in the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials necessary for task completion.
  • Adept at identifying necessary changes to processes or material flows to meet objectives.
  • Capable of managing time effectively and productively.
  • Conduct tests to verify that procedures, processes, and material flows are functioning as intended.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to convey information clearly.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative solutions to problems.
  • Experience in designing and constructing production aids from various materials to enhance safety and reduce costs.
  • Willingness to undertake additional tasks as directed by TPS management.

Minimum Education Requirements

  • High school diploma is mandatory.
