About the Role

The Manufacturing Engineer will play a critical role in planning, designing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to drive quality, cost reduction, and safety improvements. You will work closely with our manufacturing department to develop and implement technical training programs, provide engineering support in production, and collaborate with sales, application, and design engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and evaluate manufacturing processes to enhance quality, reduce costs, and improve safety
  • Design and develop manufacturing processes and tooling/equipment for enhancements and product changes
  • Collaborate with vendors to determine tooling and equipment specifications and arrange purchases to support product requirements
  • Support sales and application engineering by providing time studies and gathering equipment/tooling requirements for new programs and changes to existing programs
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation of tooling drawings, equipment requirements, and associated plant layouts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering; mechanical engineering preferred
  • At least three years' of design experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing initiatives with an emphasis on continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a detail-oriented focus while balancing multiple duties and initiatives
  • Familiarity with Metal Fabrication, Welding, and Heat Treatment knowledge preferred
