POSITION OVERVIEW

The Lead Brand Copywriter is responsible for creating captivating and original narratives that resonate with diverse brands, audiences, and platforms. Reporting to the Director of Storytelling, this role involves close collaboration with various teams to execute a range of marketing initiatives, from digital campaigns to immersive experiences. You will be expected to provide creative direction and innovative ideas to inspire and develop large-scale concepts, campaigns, and other deliverables for clients. Additionally, you may take the lead on intermediate-level copy projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives outlined in client briefs across multiple applications. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in brand marketing, a meticulous attention to detail, and a demonstrated ability to produce compelling copy that reflects different brand voices under tight deadlines.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This position is part of our flexible workforce, allowing you to work on a project basis as needed. Flex Force employees enjoy the option to work remotely, with occasional invitations to participate in collaborative sessions as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the accurate, consistent, and timely delivery of client copywriting projects within budget, adhering to the objectives and concepts established by clients or team leaders.
  • Tailor writing styles to suit a variety of brands and audiences, conducting research as necessary to gain insights into brand identity and target demographics.
  • Consistently meet quality standards and deadlines for all assigned projects, while recommending enhancements to content, tools, processes, and tasks to management.
  • Actively participate in collaborative meetings with internal teams to elevate ideas and collectively determine the best solutions for client needs.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, prioritization, interpersonal, problem-solving, time management, and planning skills.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in Communications or Journalism, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Occasional travel may be required, whether locally, nationally, or internationally.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and internet applications.
  • Strong skills in analysis, prioritization, interpersonal communication, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management, and planning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including analysis, interpretation, and reasoning.
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as with internal and external clients.
  • Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to influence peers and management positively.
  • Self-motivated with a strong focus on detail, deadlines, and reporting.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, and see.
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
