Human Resources Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Komyo America. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing a range of HR services to our Loudon, TN facility, including employment, performance management, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
- Improve supervisor and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems, evaluating potential solutions, implementing selected solutions, coaching, and counseling supervisors and employees.
- Respond to employee concerns, complaints, and issues, conduct investigations, and refer complex and high-risk issues to the Human Resources Assistant Manager.
- Work with employees and supervisors to resolve conflicts and provide education and assistance relative to Human Resources issues.
- Review completed performance appraisals for conformance to related policies and procedures.
- Assist supervisors with disciplinary documentation, review termination recommendations with Human Resources Assistant Manager, and conduct exit interviews.
- Identify and address training needs and resources, help develop training programs in the areas of safety, communication, counseling, performance management, supervision skills, and leadership.
- Facilitate monthly leadership training and annual employee training.
- Responsible for recruitment efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel and temporary employees.
- Conduct interviews and support supervisory staff with internal promotion processes.
- Conduct employee orientation and assist employees in the completion of their employment forms.
- Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures for continual improvement in efficiency of the department and services performed to Human Resources Assistant Manager.
- Respond to inquiries from employees on company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate enrollment of eligible employees in company benefits such as Medical, Dental, Life, and 401(k).
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Complete special projects by clarifying project objectives, setting timetables and schedules, conducting research, developing and organizing information.
- Handle details of a confidential nature, including personnel, payroll, and company financial information.
- Responsible for establishing, ensuring confidentiality, and maintaining official documents and records in appropriate files.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
- +3 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a Warehouse/Distribution environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Results-oriented.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong background in Employee Relations and Performance Management.
- Strong background conducting Investigations.
- Solid working knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment and labor law.
- Strong interpersonal, team building, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to exercise discretion.
- Training experience preferred.
