Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Human Resources Manager to provide strategic HR leadership and support to our plant facility. This role will focus on aligning people strategies with business objectives, strengthening people management capabilities, and driving culture change. The successful candidate will consult with department leadership to ensure alignment with desired behaviors and guiding principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic HR Leadership: Provide expert advice and counsel to plant leadership on developing and executing people strategies that drive business objectives.
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Lead recruitment efforts, select qualified candidates, conduct initial interviews, manage pre-employment processes, and oversee onboarding.
  • Legal Compliance & Recordkeeping: Ensure compliance with employee records, maintain HR documentation in alignment with Federal and State employment laws, including FMLA and Workers' Compensation.
  • Safety Management: Coordinate and conduct monthly safety training for managers and hourly associates, ensuring compliance with safety policies throughout the facility.
  • Employee Relations: Investigate employee complaints and concerns, working to resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Payroll Management: Review and submit weekly payroll, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
  • Multi-Tasking & Organization: Manage and prioritize multiple tasks with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness.
  • HR Systems & Tools: Utilize HR software such as ADP Vantage Suite for payroll, benefits, and employee management, and ensure proficiency in Microsoft Office programs like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not required)
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR management experience, preferably in a manufacturing or plant environment
  • Strong knowledge of Federal and State employment laws, including FMLA, Workers' Compensation, and labor laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff
  • Proficiency in HR systems, particularly ADP Vantage Suite, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on employee relations and safety compliance
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
