Division Overview

Crown's Closures, Aerosol & Promotional Packaging (CAPP) Division specializes in manufacturing a wide range of packaging solutions for the largest consumer packaging companies in North America. Our clients include prominent brands such as SC Johnson, Abbott Laboratories, and Unilever.

Job Summary

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, including month-end processes, financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll, sales commissions, and accounts payable. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting concepts and GAAP, as well as experience working with ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries and account documentation
  • Prepare general ledger account and bank reconciliations
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures
  • Identify and implement control procedures to resolve control deficiencies
  • Assist in preparation for internal and external audits
  • Develop financial analysis and cost accounting skills
  • Oversee payroll and accounts payable functions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Solid understanding of accounting concepts and GAAP
  • Proven track record of working in a team environment
  • Experience working with ERP systems
  • Three years of plant manufacturing experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Packaging industry experience
  • AS400 experience
Competencies
  • Strong PC skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Self-directed with excellent initiative and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive, and energy
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills
