Division Overview:

Our Closures, Aerosol & Promotional Packaging (CAPP) Division is a key part of our business, manufacturing a wide range of packaging solutions for leading consumer packaging companies in North America. Our clients include major brands such as SC Johnson, Abbott Laboratories, and Unilever.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, including month-end processes, financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll, sales commissions, and accounts payable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries and account documentation
  • Prepare General Ledger accounts and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare financial statements and reports to summarize the company's financial position
  • Maintain accounting policies and procedures
  • Identify control gaps and develop/implement control procedures to resolve deficiencies
  • Assist in preparation for internal and external audits
  • Develop financial analysis and cost accounting skills
  • Oversee payroll and accounts payable functions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts and GAAP
  • Proven track record of working in a team environment with various departments
  • Experience working with an ERP system
  • Three years of plant manufacturing experience
  • Approximately 10% overnight travel
  • May occasionally need to work evening or weekend hours

Preferred Requirements:

  • Packaging industry experience
  • AS400 experience

  • Strong PC skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Self-directed with excellent initiative and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive, and energy

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, ensuring completion
