Division Overview

Crown's Closures, Aerosol & Promotional Packaging (CAPP) Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for the largest consumer packaging companies in North America. Our distinguished list of clients includes SC Johnson, Abbott Laboratories, and Unilever.

Accounting Manager Role

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, including month-end processes, preparing financial reports, reconciliations, payroll, sales commissions, and accounts payable. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare journal entries to accounts documenting business transactions
  • Preparing GL Account and Bank Reconciliation
  • Preparing financial statements and other reports to summarize the company's financial position
  • Maintaining Accounting Policy database
  • Identifying control gaps, developing and implementing appropriate control procedures to resolve control deficiencies
  • Assisting in preparation for internal and external audits
  • Developing financial analysis and cost accounting skills
  • Overseeing payroll and AP functions
  • Performing other job-related duties as required or assigned
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Solid understanding of accounting concepts and GAAP
  • Proven track record of working in a team environment with a variety of departments
  • Experience working with an ERP system
  • Three (3) years Plant Manufacturing experience
  • Approximately 10% overnight travel
  • May occasionally need to work evening or weekend hours
